Brief description of the scan software Zirkonzahn.Scan:
 

• This scan software allows exact scanning of the models and the articulator
• In doing so, the software uses the joblist created by the archive
• The wizard guides you through the different required scans
• Virtual articulator:
  • After registering your articulator in the software, the models will be displayed in the right position
  • Thanks to the Fine-Adjustment function for the articulator, it is possible to scan the current status of the articulator, e.g. in connection with a reduced vertical dimension
  • You can insert planes into the virtual articulator for a better orientation when positioning a model.
  • For the articulation of models, different systems (Plane System® by Udo Plaster, Camper’s or the Frankfurt plane) can be used
  • 2D pictures, 3D facial scans and X-ray images of the patient can be inserted as an optical aid
• Major flexibility:
  • Scans can be deleted
  • Instead of following the process list, you can decide the order and the importance of the scans on your own
• You have the possibility to scan an impression and to convert it into a fully adequate and positive mould of the model
• With just two clicks you can add scanning sequences for the registration of extreme undercuts (if they were not scanned properly at the first try: e.g. in case of tilted teeth)
• Simultaneous scan and calculation of different models
• Faster working thanks to the parallelization of the workflow: Work steps are carried out simultaneously which implies that continuous scanning is possible, even if previous scanning sequences are not completely loaded
• With the Multi-Die Holder, single dies of the upper and lower jaw can be scanned simultaneously; current scan time for 14 units: 45 seconds
• Scan of impressions and double impressions
• Scan and match function: Scanning an element from various perspectives and subsequently matching the scans
• Duplicating scans: if you need a scan of the gingiva and you already have one from the Healthy Scan, you can clone it.
